The Stiftung Weltweite Wissenschaft was established to promote national and international
exchange between academics, and academic meetings. It does this by operating and cultivating
the Hamburg University Guesthouse, which provides accommodation for academic guests,
and through events at the International Centre for Scholarly Exchange (IBZ).
